HTC Touch Screen Phones
Ever since the iPhone came out, HTC started to get really aggressive in pushing out quality touchscreen phones. While these phones appear to be clones of iPhone, HTC Touch Screen Phones have several patents of their own along with a number of mobile OS's that power their touchscreen phones. Head to your local mobile phone store and see the large variety of HTC phones available today. If you can't see them, go online instead and check the different plans and available phones your local networks are offering. Here are some of the popular HTC touchscreen phones that you will likely encounter.
HTC Desire HD
If you are looking for a large display to work with, the HTC Desire HD may just be your cup of tea especially if you have fondness of Google's Android operating system. Running Froyo 2.2 and using HTC's own Sense user interface, the HTC Desire HD is an updated Android phone that can do a lot on its large 4.3-inch display.
It uses an aluminum unibody design so it is more durable and rigid than the older 2009 HTC models. Although the display is large using the 800x480 screen resolution, it does not use AMOLED or Super AMOLED technologies. Fortunately, the camera impresses with 8 megapixels to work with, a useful dual LED flash, and support for 720p. It is also powered by the 1 GHz Snapdragon processor so it can playback 720p videos as well and the refined Sense UI functions smoothly. All this comes at the cost of a shorter battery life compared to the other models.
HTC 7 Mozart
Microsoft trying to get back into the mobile market through their new Windows Phone 7 operating system and it is riding on the HTC 7 Mozart in hopes of getting attention. Microsoft did the right move here because once again, HTC uses the unibody construction making it a very durable Windows Phone 7 model. Due to the skinning limitations of Windows Phone 7, you need to bear with the Windows Phone 7 home screen, which is rather intuitive and simple, and the panels really work. However, if you are missing out on the Sense UI, you can launch the unique apps that are included in this model. The HTC Hub app displays the weather app that you know and love along with links to other useful apps that you can try out. Sure, it is no Sense UI replacement, but the apps are impressive. If only the camera performance was better, this would be the best pick of the pack.
HTC HD Mini
Although Microsoft is having high expectations with Windows Phone 7, they are still releasing some devices that are powered by the older Windows Mobile 6.5.3. Don't let that put you down because this older version allows more customization and HTC took good advantage of that. The included Twitter and Facebook apps work nicely. With a 3.7-inch display, this is the phone to get if you want something more portable. Better phones are priced only slightly higher than this device so it is best to stick with the Desire HD or Mozart.
